JS Pop out menu in Dreamweaver/Fireworks MX

1 New Member
I'm developing a pop out menu using FW/DW MX (version 6.0?) and all works pretty well except for this:

when the mouse pointer moves off of the triggering hot spot and on to the resulting pop out menu, all the images that were swapped out are restored, so that the trigger loses its hilight, and other images come back that I needed to have out of the way of the menu. I've tried enlarging the hotspot to no avail. It seems that the initiation of the pop out triggers the Swap Image Restore.

The nice menus I see all over the Net keep the images swapped out until you mouse off the menu.

Does FW and/or DW create JavaScript that is inherently deficient for these types of menus? It seems that maybe what's included with the software is just a cheap novelty for the weekend warrior and not really industrial strength.

I'm leary of using CSS because I've been told that Firefox does not support them.

Thanks.

You'll need to move the onmouseout code from the hotspot to the menu.

Could not be further from the truth. In fact, Firefox does a much better job of supporting CSS than IE.
